    Chief Justice Peggy A. Quince

    Chief Justice Quince's office may be reached in Tallahassee by phone at (850) 922-5624. Her judicial assistants are Glenda Larry, Maria Barker, and Della White.  Her staff attorneys are Susan O'Halloran, Zainabu Rumala, and Jonathan Tannen.     Judicial Clerkship Application Procedure:

  • cover letter, including statement of interest
  • resume, including GPA and class rank
  • writing sample
  • list of references
  • transcripts (law school and undergraduate)
  • Primary selection criteria: (1) Writing and research experience; (2) Law review, moot court, trial team, or comparable; (3) Class rank.

    Applications accepted beginning: A year or more in advance

    Number of clerkships available: Varies from year to year

    Position length: Usually 2 years

    Florida Bar Exam Required

    Salary: The minimum salary for staff attorneys is $47,914.80. Appointments above the minimum may be made based on experience. Appointments are 10% below the minimum ($43,123.32) if the individual is not a member of the Florida Bar.
