Emergency Orders & Information

Broward County Emergency Information.

The order extending deadlines in Broward County, called a "Tolling Order," was issued on December 17, 2008.

The 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida Office of the Trial Court Administrator has created a temporary email address for attorneys and the public to contact the Broward Court System with any questions. The building remains without phone service and has limited communications as a result of the flooding earlier this week. Questions for the Broward Court System can be directed to: 17adminhelp@17th.flcourts.org. Emails will be answered as quickly as possible.

Due to the lack of phone service at Broward County's Main Courthouse in downtown Fort Lauderdale, the Phone Directory has been updated to include temporary cell phone numbers in order to reach those offices. These phone numberss are temporary, and many have long distance phone numbers outside the 954 area code. The phones have limited features, and parts of the main courthouse have limited cellular service. Please be patient when attempting to contact the offices with temporary cell phone numbers.

Check this site for later updates.
